He was responsible for the Environmental department in Iberia from 2014 to 2024, handling various responsibilities, including managing and underwriting new business, renewing the portfolio, underwriting and managing multinational programmes, leading relationships with brokers and customers, ensuring the profitability of the department, as well as collaborating with other countries, sharing experiences and best practices aimed at strengthening the uptake of Environmental Liability insurance.<\/p>\n

In November 2024, he returned to PERM<\/strong> as technical director.<\/p>\n

Degree<\/strong> in Environmental Sciences from the European University of Madrid with a Master’s <\/strong>in Integrated Waste Management and Treatment and a Master’s <\/strong>in Occupational Risk Prevention, with complementary training in insurance and environmental risk management.<\/p>\n

In 2006<\/strong>, he began his professional career in Ferrovial<\/strong> Services<\/strong>, later joining Cespa, S.A.<\/strong>, within the same corporate group, as a technician-consultant in the Quality and Environment Department<\/strong>, carrying out tasks of implementation and monitoring of the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards<\/strong> at various work centres across the country.<\/p>\n

In 2007<\/strong>, he joined the Underwriting Department of PERM<\/strong>, currently serving as Senior <\/strong>Environmental Risk Underwriter. <\/strong>His main responsibilities include studying reinsurance applications, calculating premiums, and sending the associated quotes. He technically analyses the company’s portfolio to support decision-making, provides training to underwriters, brokers, and risk inspectors, and visits external companies. He conducts internal audits of the quality of underwriting and advises customers on environmental liability insurance.<\/p>\n

Graduate<\/strong> in Law from Universidad Complutense, holding a Master’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, with additional training in Environmental Law.<\/p>\n

Francisco Daniel began his professional career in the insurance sector in 2017<\/strong>, joining the Nuclear Risk Insurers’ Underwriting Department<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 2018<\/strong>, he joined the Spanish Environmental Risks Pool<\/strong>, where he was responsible for processing claims, coordinating the involved parties through to effective resolution, and personally supervising decontamination efforts in any incidents that so required.<\/p>\n

He provides support <\/strong> for the claims departments of partner companies, training claims processors in environmental liability matters and preparing quarterly reports <\/strong> and studies <\/strong> on claims settlements.<\/p>\n

Her duties include receiving and registering bordereaux<\/strong>, detailing the operations transferred by partner companies.<\/p>\n

Analyse<\/strong> policies with ceded and accepted risks, interpreting movements in new production policies and modifications, including adjustments, supplements or changes throughout the policy’s lifetime. Constant, close contact<\/strong> with insurance companies.<\/p>\n

Close<\/strong> each quarter, reconciling the amounts of premiums ceded by each insurer and technical amounts.<\/p>\n
