The SPANISH ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS POOL<\/strong> is an Economic Interest <\/strong> Partnership set up in 1994<\/strong> to oversee a coinsurance agreement for jointly underwriting environmental risks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Agreement <\/strong> covers both insurance companies<\/strong> and reinsurers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  • Insurance companies<\/strong> may have a dual condition:
    – As contributors of operations.
    – As reinsurance acceptors for these operations.<\/li>\n
  • Reinsurers <\/strong> may only act as participants in any reinsurance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
